Harvey started 10 major league games in 2012 and more than that in 2013 and missed all of 2014. So his first year should have been 2012, I think.

The year you first exceed the 10 start/40 IP/150 AB does not count as the players 1st year. It just starts the clock and the following year is considered year 1/6. Harvey made exactly 10 starts in 2012 with no relief appearances, therefore his clock didn't start because he didn't make "more than 10 starts". 2013 was the year that started his clock, 2014 didn't qualify because he didn't reach the 10 start/40 IP marker, which means 2015 is year 1/6. Crazy good value, as long as his arm stays intact.

Harvey is 2/6. He passed 50 innings in 2012 so 2013 was his first year. His second year will be 2015.

But the 40 IP limit only applies to pitchers who made relief appearances. Harvey had 10 G, 10 GS. Therefore 2012 did not start his clock.

I also didn't realize that 2014 doesn't count since he was under the 10 starts. So should Springer be in year 2 of 6? He had over 200 at bats last season.

Springer would be 300K (1/6).
Why are we complicating things adding in games started? Just go by innings for ALL pitchers, regardless of role on the team.

It would be nice if commentary was kept out of the draft pick thread. Makes it confusing to follow picks.
